Starbucks Pulls Out the Trenta

In case Starbucks’ Venti is too small for you, well you are in luck as Starbucks is rolling out a new drink size.  The 31-ounce Trenta will be available in all U.S. shops by May 3rd only for iced coffee, iced tea and ice team lemonade.  Being 7oz larger than Starbucks’ largest offering, the Venti, the Trenta will only cost you an extra 50 cents compared to the Venti, however Starbucks claims that unsweetened drinks in the new size will have fewer than 90 calories and sweetened versions will have less than 230 calories.  To give you a better idea of how the new Trenta stacks up against your stomach, the Trenta is only more than double the size of the average pop and a little over half the capacity of the average stomach.  Personally, I like the new size but I think Starbucks will have to make sure they add a few more restrooms to their shops.

On a side note, Starbucks also just enabled users to pay for their purchases via the Starbucks apps on iOS and Blackberry devices.  You can download the Blackberry version of the app here and the iOS version here.  Sorry Android users, you’re screwed for now.
