Restoration Hardware’s Blackhawk Large Coffee Table
21 Feb 2011
Have about a grand to burn and looking for a new coffee table that embodies your mid-20th-centuray aircraft nostalgia? Well, you are in luck. Inspired by the gleaming nose cones and fuselage of mid-20th-century aircraft, Restoration Hardware’s Blackhawk Coffee Table is not only a great conversation starter but its sleek, aerodynamic lines will give any room a bit more substance.
Personally, spending a $1000 on something that just holds drinks and gives me something to prop my feet on sounds crazy, but I have to admit it is sharp to look at. Handmade of polished aluminum wrapped around solid hardwood, the Blackhawk has a single wide drawer that is lined with black cotton canvas and the aluminum has a matte finish to give the table a slightly distressed look with the intentional nicks, dings, small scratches, and slight aroma of gunpowder. Ok, I’m joking about the gunpowder because I just wish this table was actually made from a real plane. Either way, this 40″W x 24″D x 18″H piece will certainly give your room of abandoned nuclear missile silo turned house a bit more flair. Emergency parachute sold separately.
Price: $995
