Fitbit Activity and Calorie Tracker App
27 Oct 2011
After much demand, the folks over at Fitbit have finally released a mobile app for all you iOS fitbitters out there. Sporting the abilities to log your diet and activities right from your phone wherever you go, the all new Fitbit app is completely free and it syncs up with your account on the Fitbit website when you have a network connection so you can do a deeper dive on your stats and back up your data. For those of you who don’t already have a web account, have no fear as you can easily create one within the app.
The new Fitbit iPhone app allows you to log food, water, activities, and even your weight with a new and pretty easy-to-use interface. If you are familiar with how to use their old mobile site, this will seem like nothing new to you so you can easily keep track of your last synced data while you’re out, and look back on the past 14 days of steps to compare. You’ll also be able to even view your goals and see your progress with each one, including your Food Goal.
For those of you who are not familiar with the fitness and sleep tracking prowess of the Fitbit, I wrote about the old version briefly here and check out Veronica Belmont over at Tekzilla’s video after the break for a more in-depth look at the new Fitbit Ultra.
